Wed, 22 Jul 2009 in order to get our american guest a little more into austrian culture and history jake and i decided to take erin to steyr. since jake has been living there for several years, he was the perfect guide for this very old town. so went along the river, through old castles, buildings, and streets, got so see some preparations and rehearsal for an open air classics concert with loads of japanese orchestra ladies with all kind of instruments. since it was very hot we decided to go to the place where the two rivers steyr and enns join to have our feet cooled down in the cold refreshing water. at the river bank we saw a cute little kitty that was brought there by a woman. the cat was exploring the area very cautious and was watching us suspiciously. of course i could not resist to take some pics of that little crea- ture. on our way back to the car we also came by a playground where erin and jake had some fun with a little carousel. we then decided to have a short break in enns to drink some coffee at the main square of the town. was a nice day-trip with a lot of fun.
